I feel like there's a golf ball in my chest! Help!!
I actually had this problem this morning. I had my multivatimin for the first time since surgery and I was in the bathroom throwing up 5 minutes later. At this point I remembered that I was told to have chewable vitamins for the first month. So I bought some today that have Biotin, Folic Acid and B12 in them. Lesson learned. H

I'm four days behind you, had my sleeve done Sept 25th and I sýmpathize fully with what you are saying. I used to drink water like it was going out of style, now swallowing a mouthful is a struggle and it always feels like it gets stuck - this is WATER I am talking about! Funny thing is that I can drink hot tea, fruit juices etc with no problem, so that's what I have been doing - tea mostly to avoid too much of the sugar in the fruit juices.
My doctor said I didn't have to start with the supplements until after a couple of weeks, and I am grateful for that! He gave me suppositories (and they're no fun, but at least have no effect on the stomach!) for pain killers, fortunately I don't need to take them very often.
All in all, I am doing better by the day, so I'm hoping this water issue will go away soon also.
All the best!

I was one that had problems with swelling after surgery. Trust me, it does go down. I still don't eat much, and know my stamach is small, but I know it's not too small. I would stick with a chewable vitamin for now. I still take chewables because I don't like the way pills feel going down. I'm almost 5 months out.

Hi Everyone,
I've been absent for 2 days..... but thank you all so much for the suggestions. Funny how my doctor's office said that you can take chewables if you want, but it's not necessary. Even when I saw them yesterday and explained my problem, the PA never suggested chewables, she just said "it will get better with time".
Know that I AM DEFINITELY going out and getting chewables and/or liquid everything. This feeling is NOT NICE, as you know and I will do whatever is necessary to make taking them easier.
It's funny because last night I had my first meal and it didn't bother me at all. I am VERY happy about that.
Again, thanks for all the suggestions and encouragement. You all are GREAT and I hope that you all feel better soon and know that I am PULLING FOR YOU ALL!
