Mine is 34F.

I don't think I've heard of a 28F.  Usually 32F is as small as most docs go.  Is there a reason her surgeon wants to go smaller?

Lap-Band June 14, 2001. Dr. Rumbaut, Monterrey, Mexico.
Lap-Band removed after 7 years and converted to Sleeve Gastrectomy on July 7, 2008 by Dr. Roslin.  I've had three happy healthy Lap-Band babies.... and one VSG baby.  5 years out from revision to VSG.  Gained 55 pounds in past 5 months, now considering DS. :(

I'm suggesting my friend ask specifically about the 28.  I'll post when he knows a little more.

Drama, Dr. Aceves uses a 34 and then sews over the staple line resulting in approximately a size 32.  That is what I was told when I asked what size bougie he uses.  I was also told that he uses this size on everyone.  So, you had a 34 oversewn resulting in approximately a size 32 sleeve.

Aceves - 32.

He uses a 34 but the technique he uses to oversew the staple line tightens it up to a 32.  He said you can't go smaller than that or it can cause many problems later on.

I am a 34.  I have never heard of a 28.  I think that is way too small.  In fact, my surgeon is talking about moving to a larger size to reduce any potential complications such as twisting.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)
