You'll do fine Emily!  The ladies in the post op room couldn't believe how energetic & bubbly I was after surgery(that was some darn good Demerol)!

Hi Debbie -  I had my gallbladder out the same time as my surgery last september.  For the first three weeks i had dirrhea and bubbling in my stomach.  I finally contacted my PCP.  She put me on Cholestyramine powder. took 4 grams once a day for about 3 weeks.  it took all the extra bile out of my intestines.  Once a day and I was fine    Good luck on your recovery...

I was really lucky too.  I felt fine as soon as I got back to the Outpatient area.  You will be fine too Emily Rose.

DEB! When do all of this come about? I must of missed something. Did Dr. M do it for you or did you stay in Houston?

I hope you are feeling better soon!! Take care of yourself!!!

Debbie,

I'll be having my surgery on the 9th of June. My Dr. is going to remove mine at that time. I've often heard after these types of surgery and having problems with their gallbladder afterwards. I think a lot of it is due to diet change. i know three gals who hasn't had this surgery, but had to have theirgallbladder removed.. They said if they ate certain things it would trigger the attack, and each attack was more intensified Hope your feeling better soon.
