If you have/had a buffalo hump, did it shrink after WLS?  I am curious since it is a fat pad.

I was considering getting lipo for it prior to my VSG decision.  Now I want to wait and see what might happen to my hump after VSG.   Thanks guys!

What is a buffalo hump?  is it that ugly bump on the back of my neck/sloders?  I hate it, I look like a hunchback

yeah Pippin.  It's also called a dorsocervical fat pad.  It's right between the shoulders/ back of the neck. I'm curious to know if people that have lost a lot of weight saw a reduction in the size of their ''hump". Mine makes my short neck look even shorter.  Plus when I'm tired it feels sore. I was gonna have it lipo'd but that's around the time I came to my VSG decision and want to save the lipo money in case I have to self-pay for my VSG. But man how I hate my hump!

Oh yeah, I have that.  I am still waiting for my WLS date but, I can tell you that 2 years ago I lost 70 lbs at WW and the first thing to disappear (after my double ***** was all my back fat.  In fact I had 2 guys at work (of all things) come up and tell me that they couldn't believe how much weight I had lost of my back.  The scary part was, of course I can't see my back so, then I was left wondering well just how bad was my back.......LMAO!
So to answer your question, hang on until after you have lost all your weight.  You probably won't need any lippo back there......

My buffalo hump has departed for greener pastures.  I'm not exactly sure when it left me, but I certainly haven't missed it!

If I were you, I'd wait and see.  Save your $$ for when you're about a year out from your surgery; you may find that it's disappeared.  Then you can spend your cash on new clothes!!

yes!  it went away!  don't do the lipo.  wait and see what happens.

Mine used to be so bad that I was always hunched over.  like I couldn't straighten my neck.  But now it's all gone!!!
