alcohol and VSG

I was told to wait until 10 mos out, but I had complications (not the sleeve btw) and had to wait, or I could have had wine at 6 mos out. I have an occassional glass, and, I am one that gets very drunk all at once from it but it clears up quickly also. If I have a glass, I have learned to sip, sip, sip slowly and it's more mellowed out I get.

I was a beer drinker before surgery and still am one after surgery..There are just a few changes that had to be made.  First off, I did not drin****il 3 months post op and I only drink about 2 days a week.  I still love my beer but it does not love me back unless I pour it in a glass and add ice---watering it down with ice is the only way I can drink it.  Crazy huh?  And I prefer beer from a bottle..Draft is best though..less carbonation.  Canned beer takes forever for me to drink.  But its okay..I dont mind the watered down beer.  I also drink Vodka and cranberry (sweetned with spelnda)--I find that it will irritate my stomach a bit cause I cant eat much the next day or two.
