I am 6 days out and kinda tired of chicken broth, beef broth, jello, and crystal light. My doctor doesn't allow me to progress to cream soups et****il day 10 and I definately want this to work and not have an stomach issues over a holiday weekend.
Think it's ok to boil ho****er and use ramen noodle seasoning( no noodles) or will it be too much sodium? Anyone try this or have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Karen

Ramen noodles seasoning is extremely high in sodium.  You CAN drink it, but it won't be very good for you, especially if you have any blood pressure problems.

i did it once or twice...but the sodium killed me!  i ended up buying reg soups...low fat..and straining them...much less salt!

good luck!  this is the hardest part!

I agree. The sodium is awful. Sorry! Stick with Chicken broth. It does a body good at this stage.

I am in agreement with Old Medic and Leah.  I bought some organic chicken broth and sipped on a LOT of it.

They have some ramen noodles that are about half the sodium now, so that might work for you.  I did use them a bit at first to have a little more taste.  I also liked to add hot sauce and a little lemon juice to chicken broth.  That was definitely my favorite the first couple of weeks!

Have you tried ordering Won Ton soup (without the Won Ton) from your favorite Chinese restaurant? In the liquid stage I ordered soups from several different restaurants and asked for more broth.

Won Ton soup is a great idea. I also had hot and sour after I went to full liquids (just didn't eat the stuff in just drank the soup).

Wonton soup and hot and sour soup broth both sound amazing. That might just have to be my special christmas meal this year. Did any of you try miso soup? There is a sushi restsaurant really close to our house.

Ask the restaurant to strain the soup for you. Miso soup sounds wonderful. I haven't had any in a few weeks. Think I'll send the daughter out to get some tonight.
