Smoothie King protein a joke???
So I am preop and went on a search today to find protein shakes & drinks for post op...after my trip into HEB I decided to try something from SmoothieKing...I had never been there but I have heard ppl from work talk about them having "add in supplements" so I thought ok ill try one just to see (I ordered a small...yay me)...not too bad actually pretty tastey...two problems #1 it was super airy, are you able to drink these highly blended drinks? I would think all that air could cause some serious gas pains! #2 I got home & immediately made my way to the handy dandy internet where I looked up what I had just consumed to find they think 376 calories 90 carbs 84 gm sugar for a drink is "slimming down"? and it only had like 4 gms of protein...
Needless to say I will not be visiting the local Smoothie King in the future.

You're right I just looked it up & it looks pretty decent on paper...guess maybe ill give it a try...what about the "airy" part...can you stomach it with half the stomach?

You can buy the gladiator mix from Smoothie King and blend your own. It was recommended by my doctor due to the large protein count. That way you can make them like you want, but I have had them directly from Smoothie King and did not have problems with gas more than usual. If you do, just take a Gas-X ....thank God for Gas-X!!!!
