Bagel Thins and Sandwich Thin product review
I know many avoid bread or other similar products, but I thought I would share my review of the Thomas bagel thin and Arnold's sandwich thins. I know there are others out here that do not completely avoid breads and other options on their meal plans.
They don't taste like bagels at all. But, I absolutely love them. They have several varieties and flavors. I picked up the "everything" flavored bagel thins and the 100% whole wheat sandwich thins.
I can only eat 1 thin toasted with some cream cheese, or I pop them under the broiler with some turkey deli meat and a slice of thin cheese. For me, it's a great alternative to bread. I will probably try soft poaching an egg white and making an egg sandwich out of them with a little avocado mayo mixture I conjured up a couple weeks ago.
I plan on making some mini pizzas out of them tomorrow for an after school snack for my kiddo and get his opinion. I quit buying pre-packaged/frozen stuff and started experimenting with different options that I could control the ingredients and nutritional value.
Both products offer 5 grams of protein per slice.
Pepperidge Farm and Orowheat also have similar products, but I grabbed the ones that were on sale this past week.
Here's some recipe ideas from the Arnold's website as well.

For those that like to use WW points, each thin only counts as 1 point for both products from what I have found on the net.
Just thought I would share.

I'm not sure if I have or not. I did pick up some high protein high/low carb wraps at Publix that I used for my enchilada recipe. I just made mine with the wraps, and for the husband/kiddo, they prefer flour tortillas. I'll check them out definitely. I'm always looking for other options.
Thanks for the tip ! ! !

I love the Flat Out Light Italian Herb wrap---I've made "pizza" with them. My husband thinks they are amazing, too. They are in the bakery section at Publix and at Wal-Mart.
Light Italian Herb Wrap

I just found the crisps at Publix and had to give them a try. The "I brake for FOUR cheese" are really yummy.

There are 6g of protein in a serving of the crisps.
I am sort of a pizza fanatic and have made some of Eggface's pizza recipes with Mission Low-Carb tortillas but I think these wraps are much tastier. I can eat about half of one (cut into four "slices") depending on the toppings. The stats for the light wraps can't be beat, in my opinion :)
I spray the wrap with Olive Oil Pam then bake for 7 minutes at 350*F, then add toppings and continue cooking until the cheese is melted. (This is what they suggest on their website)

I actually just picked up a bag of the everything bagel thins about an hour ago...can't wait to try em! Regular bagels are too heavy now, yanno?
Yeppers, I completely know whatcha mean. It's absolutely pathetic, but for the last 3 months, I've been tearing the interior bready part of bagels out, and my husband eats that part, I toast the outside shell, and fill it up with cream cheese. These aren't bagely though, but they are yummy LOL. I'll take them over my shoveled out bagel shells I've been chowing down for the last few months.

After reading your review, I hadda go try one, lmao... I think they are delish! They aren't exactly bagel-y, but I like the crispy flavor!
Ha ha ha, I just had one as a snack with cream cheese.
I should clarify that I can only eat 1 of the thins. Definitely can not eat both slices. 1 is plenty and I absolutely can not wait to try the mini pizza ones tomorrow LOL.
This is going to replace my cheesy poof addiction which leaves me with mixed emotions ha ha ha.

1/2 w/ cream cheese...exactly what I ate! Haha! Speaking of cheesy poofs... I have been getting the Gerber naturals baby ones. They are made with whole grains and real cheese, and 18 poofs have only 35 calories and 4 carbs... 18 is definitely PLENTY for a snack too- they are perfect!
