I am still sleeping on my couch. Its really comfortable but my bed is better. I finally can sleep on my right side or back. There is no way that I can get on my left side. Even when i try to roll onto the left side I get a sharp ripping feeling like my stomach is splitting. IT HURTS LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT!!!!! I am a stomach sleeper too but I wish I could.

I slept on my stomach last night... it felt soooo good!  I don't have a drain though.

This thread just wiped the smile off my face...I sleep curled up in a semi-fetal position on my left side...sounds like that is so not going to work for a bit after surgery...I guess I need to see how comfy that old, beat-up recliner is.  Thanks for the heads up!!

Since surgery I have only been able to sleep on my right side with a pillow support. Been trying to sleep on my left side with same support but I have an incision pretty far over on that side and it isn't very comfortable. Can't even lay on my belly yet...still too uncomfortable. Not horribly sore, just, not good yet. I'm at week 5.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.   24lbs lost pre-surgery. I'm 5'2.

Since I came home from the hospital I've been able to sleep on my side.  I used a body pillow. I rolled gently onto my left side using the pillow for support.  The pillow is long enough that you can put the end between your knees for support.  Felt to good to be in my own bed!!!

Take care.
