HI.........Who has had Dr. Aceves?
I choose Dr Aceves based on all of the positive reviews I read here on OH and I was not disapointed. Dr Aceves and his whole crew are outstanding!!! From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, you are very well cared for. The care and attention you get while there is TOP NOTCH! You never have to wait on somebody to "get around to you" if you need something like you do in American hosipitals. When you need something,even if its just to ask a question,they are right on it. Even with all of that aside, Dr Aceves is also one the most quafilied surgeons you will find anywhere at any price.
My entire experiance there was positive and I would do it all over in a heartbeat.

Like you, I could not find a negative comment about him (not that I wanted to, but I tend to believe that not everything can be roses 100% of the time!.....still....found nothing!)

Thats what I was thinking myself. I was hoping nothing negative happened with anyone but I wanted to hear it if it did.....................but still nothing!

Yes Melissa, I concur with all that has been said about doctor A. If you want some advice, he puts all his patients on Nexium for 3 months, so take some cash. If you are a self payer, you must not have insurance, so you probably have to pay for your meds also. Last year when I went the Nexium cost $395 at Walmart. In Mexico (across the street from the hospital) it was $23. Everyone I met on the Weight Loss Surgery wing (and you will make some fine friends there, went across the street. What I wasn't told was that sometime you will need the meds longer. I wish I had bought twice that amount. Walmart now sells Nexium, for sell payers for $195. Still prescription tho. Ask when you are there how long the average person is on Nexium....John
