Wow...pretty lame!

Guess on top of not choosing the right surgery, we're annoying also.  Love it!!!!

If you're on these boards long enough, you'll see a lot of posts that are negative and aggressive. Honestly, the surgery itself doesn't change people's personalities. If you're a ***** prior to surgery, you're going to be a ***** after the surgery.  I've yet to see a mature, open discussion about weight loss surgery options that did not degenerate into ridiculous name calling. Sad but true when you consider that the posts are generated by seemingly mature, intelligent individuals.

I really, truly think that the nutrient deficiencies eventually screw with some DS'ers heads, 'cause there's no other WLS group out there that's as nasty, *****y, and judgemental as those people.  I would NEVER  have a DS, for that reason.  Freakin' crazy people.

I completely agree and I bet they really hinder their own cause being that way.

I have honestly wondered this ---  I don't know why a certain surgery type seems (at least on this site) to be synonymous with hostility and off the wall rudeness.  Since it seems to be the surgery of choice for people who have a very high BMI, I have wondered if there might be more mental disorders with that population (?)    It isn't uncommon for rage to be an issue with obesity (many of us eat to deal with anger, me included), and perhaps some people have a lot more anger issues that spill out when they have to give up carbs.  Or maybe it's just bacon poisoning

Mental disorders with the very high BMI population? That sounded completely and utterly wrong.

Everybody thinks that their way is better than some other way and that's why each one of us chose our specific way. We say that we don't want malabsorption. They say (because that is their experience) that it can't be done withouth malabsorpion (in the long run anyway). Everybody supports their choice of surgery, some do it a bit more annoyingly than others, in all forums.

Some DSers probably feel like they are the ones that have THE tool to beat obesity. And probably that's where all the arrogance comes from (combined with insecurity that is, cause there's no arrogant person that's not deeply insecure).

Yea, you are probably right.  I am projecting my own stuff onto others and I should not do that.  You were right to call me on that.

I'm sure you didn't mean anything malicious, 'cause many of us have high BMI.  DSers just make you wonder strange things like that!
