Do bat wings cause pain?

It started in my lupper eft arm.  There was a burning/stinging sensation that was quite uncomfortable.  But the only time it happend was when I was in the shower and using that arm to wash my back.  That went on for a couple of weeks.  Then my right arm started having the same pain near my elbow.  I've decided that the hanging bat wings are causing "drag" and pulling on some muscle/nerves.  Could this be possible?  I know it's weird, but it's the only thing I can figure out since it is happening in both arms now.  The left arm is better now, so I'm guessing it will subside in the right arm soon.

Anyone else have this happen or am I just the "lone stranger"?

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Unless you have several pounds of hanging tissue on each arm I'm not sure there's enough weight to pull on your ligaments and such enough to cause that kind of pain. What you are describing sounds more like a nerve or neurological-related issue. Usually the burning, stinging, pins and needles pains are related to pinched nerves and muscular inflamation and the like, but it could also be related to circulatory issues. I would definitely check in with your primary care doc and let him do some basic testing to see what's happening, especially since this is an ongoing issue for you.

Good luck! I hope this is resolved quickly for you.

I had what you are describing in a few places.

One in my right biceps, one that would shoot into my left breast, and another just below my belly button, like I had zipped my skin in my britches or something!!

It was September, so I was 4ish months and a good deal of weight down - and I think the same thing too, that it was a nerve thing, but the doctors were clueless and it resolved - maybe in a month, two max?  So I dunno the why - but I definitely had those random zingers for a while.

It wouldn't be the skin causing that, but it sounds like neck issues to me (even if you don't necessarily feel it in the neck).  If it continues or gets worse, you should see your Dr. for a referral to physical therapy (or just go to PT, if your state has direct access, where you don't need a prescription to go).

Bat wings would not cause this by themselves.

Keep in mind, you can reach further around yourself now.  You may well have stretched yourself more than you realized.
