I am constantly with a tissue to spit out the foamies and slimies. It is really a gross habit that I am developing. It is impossible to swallow and they just stay in your throat or mouth until you expel them. I am 2.5 months out and it seems to be getting worse instead of better.
After 4 years I still get them if I eat too much. When I first had the surgery and got the foamies/slime I couldn't believe it was because I was eating too much. I was eating such a small amount -how could this be too much? But it was. I was eating one scrambled egg and at that time it was too much. as soon as I went down to only half an egg the slime/foamies went away. Also make sure you have a good acid reducer because this has also caused me to do this. TMI -I used to do it so much it would be more than 10ozs at one sitting!!!

Sleever - You'll know when you have it happen! LOL You just feel like the food is "stuck" and feel kind of sick to your stomach, but the foam and sputum just keep building in your mouth and you have to spit it out. I haven't done it very much, but a couple of times, I ended up vomiting. Weird though, because when I vomit, no real food comes up...even though eating too much or more likely for me, not chewing my food well enough.
Definitely discuss this with your doctor, but you are most likely eating too much and/or too fast and/or too big of bites/not chewing well enough. Slow wayyyyy down, chew chew chew, stop after a couple bites and wait several minutes. Make sure your food is moist.
Get to know your "full signal." It can be different for everyone. For me, it was a gurgling/bubbling noise. For some it's a runny nose. For others, it feels like the food is in their throat. You will learn yours.
I ONLY have trouble swallowing my slimey saliva if I eat too much or chew well enough. And, yes, even at 8 months out it still happens to me on occasion.
