3 months post-op and 68 pounds gone forever! Yippeeee!

Congrats on your weight loss! I just ran into something similar this past Friday. My company has a big meeting and people came in from all over the state.  I kept getting compliment after compliment and it made me uneasy.  Mind you that I have not told one person at work and have been very low key about the entire thing.  Not one person in my office has said anything to me about the almost 60 lbs. that I have lost so far.  Anyway later that day, one lady came up to me in front of about 5 or 6 other people and asked me about my weight loss surgery.  I was so shocked, I couldn't say a word.  My only assumption is that she was either guessing or fishing for info. All I could do is walk away and be extremely pissed!!!! I called her today and asked her if someone has said that to her...all she could do is stammer and stutter!  Then she turned around and told me that I look pale and sickly! *****! It's winter and I have Lupus......I'm not supposed to be in the sun period!!!!! OMG, I about flipped out on her!  Why are people such ******** I've never been mean or nasty to her ever. My mom is so supportive...she said that I need to realize that people will treat me differently as I lose weight....I guess I just didn't think it would happen so fast.

Wow, I'm sorry that you had to go through that! I would have been pissed too! People say the craziest things without thinking! 

Now when they say you sure are losing a lot of weight, I say yep I sure am and walk away! It was hard at first but they don't need to know anything about me unless I want them to know!
