VERY SCARED
That is probably the biggest fear I had facing surgery, as soon as I hit the parking lot of the hospital I began looking for ways to escape lol.
There are a lot of places something could go wrong, especially with a laproscopic procedure, s**t happens is a very true statement. I liked this procedure for several reasons, one being it was easier/simpler for the surgeon than bypass (band did not appeal to me at all).
If you play the odds, it's very unlikely the surgery will go bad in the first place, I forget the percentage of deaths from WLS, but they are not high. If something unfortunate like that happened the odds also say it's very unlikely to happen to the same surgeon again quickly.
This is a very tough decision to make, I hope that incident does not dissuade you from following this path if you have already made up your mind. Either way, take care and good luck.
