Is it over yet?
I apologize ahead for making this post, just frustrated and wanted to get it out somewhere that those close to me wouldnt see.
I'm extremely frustrated right now and feeling like I am having to play mom and its getting frustrating. (I have no kids yet everyday I feel like I do).
While my husband and best friend/our roommate have been extremely supportive they don't act like it. The way I was able to afford the surgery was that my hubby told me I can use our tax return for the down payment rather than us getting the ac fixed right away. Because he did that I agreed to get a second job to save up for said air conditioner repair/possible replacement. He makes comments daily about man its going to be so hot this summer....and it makes me feel like **** for going ahead with the surgery, so when he says that I ask, do you want me to post pone the surgery then? of course he goes "no! Of course not!" Yet these comments come out at least 1 time a week.
Our roommate/my best friend does not yet pay rent as she has been struggling to get a job. I get her an interview with my friend's husband (he is the manager at the store he works at). You would think that all she needed to do was ace the interview and she was in. Well she actually told him "If the other person you were interviewing is better qualified, you should hire them"
WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? I more or less got confirmation from his wife that yep...she shot herself in the foot with that.... She isnt putting a huge financial strain on us right now, but it would be nice if she could financially help us out....part of the reason we let her move in, she gets independence from living with her cousin and freedom, we get a little help.
Then when she gets a packet back from the passport agency asking for more info (long story, another post entirely) I feel like I was the only one trying to get the required info together, though she says she doesnt want me to go to Mexico alone.
on top of those things there are other little things where its like come on, dont make me become a nag... because thats what it comes down to. This morning my hubby had to drive me to work, so as I go to get in the shower I wake him up, he sits up talks to me and pets the dog then says to get him after I get out of the shower. so I try to and when i get "naggy" he says give me a second," an hour later I still havent left because I gave up trying to get him up for a little and fumed in the living room (maybe childish but whatever.).
At this point i just want to go by myself and be alone in mexico for those 4 days... screw everyone else... BLAH
okay...rant done... i think... *deflates*

yes we all face those issues- I too had to use my tax return and pay cash and goto Mexico. While at the same time having bills pile up and so on. But you know what it more important that you be healthy than be comfortable. The AC will get worked out I promise.
I lived for a summer in orlando with no AC, with a wife and newborn back in 88. You can do it, plus you will save money after the surgery. No more eight dollar lunches and ten dollar subs if you were like me. So all that extra money that would have spent on McD's or Subway will be able to go towards the AC.
Plus your family will like how much more you can move and do whe you lose weight!
I took someone with me to Mexico and I am so glad I did. The companion can really help out especially if the nurses get busy.
God bless and I rooting for you

I have to agree about the shooting herself in the foot thing... was she paying rent when she was living with her cousin? In this economy, ANY job lead is a godsend and especially so if it comes through a friend. You put your reputation on line in recommending her, for her to say something so rediculously stupid (I'm sorry, but even a first-time job seeking teenager knows enough not to make a mistake like that) makes it seem as though she's enjoying the free ride for as long as she can and doesn't really care that you stuck your neck out for her.
Sorry you're having a tough time... tell your husband hot summers are part of living in Florida, deal with it. You're busting your ass with 2 jobs to make it up to him, so he needs to suck it up and stop hinting about it because it's only putting a strain on your relationship as you're starting to resent the constant reminders.
(((((HUGS))))) I hope things start to look up soon!
