My Boss Keeps Telling Me......

to stop wearing alot of the jeans I have... She disclosed, "Not that I'm starring at your ass, but seriously... You NEED smaller pants!"

I told her that I have smaller ones at home, but they just aren't as comfortable!! Since I've started loosing my weight I find that I keep going back to the bigger size... maybe because my brain still sees me as weighing 356lbs! Anyone else struggle with taking that step to wearing the smaller clothes??? I know that wearing ones that actually fit are MUCH MORE flattering on me, but... dang!! those baggy pants are just sooo comfortable!

This weekend I had some NSV's when shopping.. I went to Kohl's.. LOVE THAT PLACE.. well I do now. Previously I couldn't even buy anything from there bc 3x shirts didn't fit and they only went to size 24. Well I was able to buy size 20 capris with only a small muffin top!! and I bought 1x shirts!! WHOOP!!

Even though I'm still in plus size clothing it's a great feeling to know I can go ANYWHERE that has them and be able to buy them and not have to buy the biggest size the offer!!

Hope you all have a great day! It's ALMOST Friday!!

Edit: Also have to add in here... my scale finally moved!!! Only a pound, but that's better than that damn fluctuation I've been dealing with!!

I also started about the same weight as you..I was 354 lbs.  I just went shopping at the mall w/a girlfriend yesterday and could go into any store and they had jeans I could fit into..it was amazing!  I'm wearing a size 16 now.  I still look at a 16 and cannot believe they fit me now.  I was so used to wearing a size 32.  My tops were a 4x..and now I buy an XL.  My mind still see's me as bigger though.

My scale also started to move again today...down 1 pound..yay!

Yes, this weekend I had on jeans and someone that knows me said you will be giving those away soon. To me they were comfortable. The next day I wore some slacks. They weren't too loose in the waist so I felt I can wear these. I passed by a mirror and it looked like I was missing a sack of gold from my thighs. Needless to say, it is time for another sweep through my closet to donate.

So, I got the 20's on... I'm going to walk in to work... make a semi big scene and ask

"ARE THESE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!"

lol I know it's not about impressing my boss... it's about me being happy, but ya know what... These smaller pants DO look damn good on me! lol

Awesome!  Get your newly smaller butt over to a Ross and buy some jeans!  You know those awesome Seven jeans - the ones that Lane Bryant sells and that run a size smaller than all the others?  And that are like $89 a pair?  The ones I always wanted to wear but never could fit in, and by the time I got down to where  a 24 would fit, it wasn't worth paying $89 for a pair of jeans for a couple of months.  (Can't take up jeans well - dresses can be altered MUCH more easily!)

Well, Ross has them in stock in many places right now.  I've seen then anywhere from $16,99 - $19.99 a pair.  Get them tight because they stretch.  I feel SO good in those jeans.  They just really fit my body well (I can wear both 16's and 18's in Seven's, other  jeans I'm in 16's and moving quickly to 14's).  Anyway I don't mind paying less than $20 for a pair of jeans that really fits - I've been told that I am no longer recognizable from the back especially when i'm in the Seven's - they fit my butt and thighs perfectly.  I actually feel - not thin - but close to normal in them.  I certainly don't feel fat in them.

I have had so much weight to lose that it has been important for me to always have a couple of outfits that really show off the weight loss and make me feel attractive and dare I say a bit sexy.  I figure I'm spending what I'm saving on fast food and junk food so that's how I justify it.

BTW if money is tight, you can sell Sevens quite easily on EBay and recoup your money when you shrink out of them.

(And if you see Sevens in a 14 or 16 let me know - I am dying for another pair!

That is funny, I totally understand, I keep wearing pants that are too big. Yesterday I had to safety pin them to keep them up.  Needless to say, I won't wear them anymore.  I went to Kohls last weekend and bought capris too.  Every pair I tried in size 16 I could fit, it was awesome.  I had about 5 pairs in my hand and narrowed it down to 2...haha.   One day earlier this week, I wore a pair of pants, size 16, to work and everyone said I look like I lost weight...I know it was because I actually wore pants that fit instead of my size 18-20s~

This was one of the hardest part of my weight loss.  I knew that the baggy clothes didn't look good anymore, but they were my "shield".  I finally took the step, cleaned out my closet, bought some things that fit, and was so much happier for it!!  But it is a HARD step--especially since I have done nothing but buy clothes that hide my fat!  BTW, I LOVE Kohls, too!
