Well, I am almost 5 months out an I have lost 74 lbs since surgery....100 lbs even since I started losing weight!  woohooW

I am very happy with my sleeve.  It has been such a wonderful thing for me!!

On another note, there is SOOO much going on with me.  I any of you remember, I have had some terrible issues with my feet.  They said I had Plantar fasciitis (which I did for almost a year).  Well,  I was in a boot for 10 weeks starting in Jan.  My foot/feet continued to get worse.  It seemed the less I did, the worse they got.  I was in terrible pain and I have a high pain tolerance.  So, I finally started to get other opinions.  I went to 1 dr, he was so FAST I hardly knew what was going on.  The 2nd dr. said I needed cortisone shots and did one (I was in SOOO Much pain! and it didn't help anyway!).  Finally, my original dr sent me to the pain clinic.  I was brushed off by the doc there but the acupuncture /chiro at the clinic spent some time with me (I decided to try acupuncture...what did I have to lose at that point?).  She recommended I see ONE more podiatrist.  I saw him and I really liked him.  He took my pain seriously and wants to help me...THANK GOODNESS.  He did a u/s of my feet this morning and says he thinks the plantar fasciitis is actually healed at this point.  He believes the pain/burning is coming either from my back (which did show some issues on the x-rays) OR I have CRPS.  The second diagnosis is NOT a great one...but I can handle it.  I go for a sympathetic nerve block in a week...it is more diagnostic for the CRPS.  Depending on how that goes, I am not sure where we will go if that is normal also....the bone scan was normal, EMG (nerve conduction) was normal.  So...that is where I am .  I feel I am in competent hands which is comforting.  Through prayer, I know I am supposed to have the nerve blocks done....don't know why...only God does.

So, I don't exercise much because it hurts my feet too much.  I have been trying to swim a few times a week which feels good.  I cannot walk too much because of pain, but that is ok.  We will get to the bottom of this eventually. =)

I am grateful I did the sleeve surgery when I did.  I cannot imagine where my feet would be if I had not lost the weight.  Now with a "moderate lumbar spondylitic disease" , the weight would have been even more difficult to carry...though I am sure the weight helped to contribute to this.

Have a great day all!
