I'd love to connect with someone who's going to be going through the same things I will be.

Yes, I am scheduled for April 12th and I am getting very nervous. To the point I was saying to myself when I woke up I can do this but, I know I can't. Have you been on the high protein liquid diet?. I am not hungry but I am sick of the milk product. I don't want to drink protein again. I must say I have lost nine pounds and I started last Tuesday.

9 lbs - that's great!

Yes, I'm on a liquid diet because my Dr. puts everyone on it.  I haven't had as much luck on the pre-op diet.  i'm only down 2 lbs and have not stuck to it as strictly as i should have.   I started rebelling as soon as I started on the pre-op liquid diet because I thought of all the foods that I wouldn't be having for a long time and wanted to indulge one last time.

I got real with myself this weekend and have been back on track for two days.

It's been a roller coaster of emotions as the date comes closer.  I went through a phase last week of being very fearful but am now calm and looking forward to it.

Have you been waiting to have this surgery for a while?

Congratulations to you both!
Gosh,  sounds weird but I loved having surgery and
being in the hospital and having someone take care of
me.  I am always taking care of everyone else.  :)

I pray for you both to have a smooth surgery and a speedy
recovery.   Blessings......

I have an interview on the 12th so that is also an important day for me.

April 13th for me.  On a protein diet too... It hasn't been that bad.  yet

I'm also scheduled for April 12th. My two week pre-surgery diet has for the most part been very easy. I decided to have a really nice lunch and dinner in the two days before I started the diet and have made up my mind that that's as much time as I would invest in saying goodbye to food.

That said, I admit to being increasingly anxious over this past weekend. I feel like there is so much to get done before next Tuesday. My goal for today is to make a list of everything I need to do so I can realistically assess what I can do in the coming days and what I need to ask others to help with. Hopefully, seeing that it's all manageable will allow me to relax a little.

Best wishes to you on 12th!

April 12th here too.  I started liquid diet March 21.  I've had a couple of days the cravings got pretty intense, but I fought through them.  No cheating so far, and now that I'm just over a week out I won't cheat at all.  The high protein diet hasn't been bad for me.  Lots of smoothies, yogurt, and water water water.  I found some pretein powders I like, so I hate to admit but its really been a breeze.  The hardest part by far has been the mental.

I'm not nervous at all.  Anxious to get to my date actually, so I can get on the other side of it, get healed, and start eating chewable food again...just in drastically reduced quantities is all.
