PMS=Carb cravings?
For the last couple weeks at least I've been doing low carb less than 50 on all days and most days around 30grams. I havent' had a problem after the first 5 days or so with carb cravings. Yesterday I started cramping and having back pain so I knew my period was on its' way. I craved carbs so bad yesterday. All day long. I had two squares of dark chocolate and then later two slices of homemade bread (at different times). The cravings seem to be gone for the most part today but yesterday they were fierce. Anyone else have this happen, if so what's the reason and how did you cope?
Same issue here except I had carb craving during my ovulation week which is 2 weeks before my period. It took forever for me to figure it out. I didn't really have a lot of issues during my losing stage because I knew I didn't have room for carbs, and was too dang focused on getting in protein. Plus, I was not willing to waiver on my program until I hit goal. Once I was getting into maintenance, started adding more carbs, I indulged a few times a week with carb loading. I'd fall short on protein because I just wanted to eat veggies, and or a sandwich, but it didn't effect me in a negative manner.
I don't have any magic answer for those during the losing stage other than try to find another option to fill your craving that is satisfying yet not a big hitter on carbs.
