No Energy
WOW Girl! You've been through alot in such a short period of time. I hope you start to feel better very soon. How did you know that you needed gall bladder surgery? What were your symptoms or causes the need to have a gall bladder removed? It might be difficult for you to get in 100 oz of fluid today since you had an iv yesterday. I am determined to start getting more fluids in today (including the protein shakes). Its going to be hard cause I fill up so fast but I need to get my energy level back up. I'm here for ya. See what you can do today because like I said it might be kinda hard for you having just had an iv yesterday so you are still full of fluid, but let me know how much fluid you are able to get in today and then we can start tomorrow being accountable for just one more bottle or one more glass. We can do it and we have to do it in order to stay healthy. I'll be thinking about you. Good Luck!
After my Walmart excursion it was probably a few weeks before I really felt active again. And it would also come and go. One day I'd be ok, and the next day not have much energy. And it definitely got better after I started solid foods.
I'm not sure how big those protein drinks are or how big of a bottle of water it is your drinking. Try to get in at least 64 ounces of fluids per day though. I know it can be really hard!! I know at first the water drinking is slow. Just keep your bottle with you and try to keep sipping all day long. You'll find you can take bigger sips later on.
I have 24 ounce bottles and try to drink 3 per day. I find that I like it better than the 32 ounce ones because those are so huge they are overwhelming. I like the Nestle or Arrowhead/Ozarka bottles because I like the kind of top that they have. I find that liking how it comes out of the bottle definitely makes a difference in how much I drink.

I had a spell back at the beginning when I had no energy. My labs were fine. I was much better by my next visit. I'm 4 months out now and am finally able to get all my fluids in. I was lucky to get 50 oz up until recently. Some of it may be dehydration, some just your body trying to adjust to the new norm. I've added more carbs and am less tired. It's a fine line with carbs though. I think everyone tolerates a different amount without gaining. The body needs some just to keep going. My doctor recommended no less than 40.
Thank you very much for your input and suggestions. I bought myself a 40 oz water bottle today and want to try drinking the entire thing every day. I had some lab work done today so I'm anxious to see what the results are. My lack of energy could be a number of things. It could be vitamins, water, just normal after surgery effects. I just hope it gets better soon. Thanks again!
