Possible to have too much energy after surgery?!
I am exhausted but cannot sleep. I slept 4.5 hours when I got home from the hospital on Wednesday and then couldn't sleep that night. I have been up all day today, even took a 20 minute walk and have been doing things all day. It is 2 am now and I am wide awake but wanting to sleep. Hormones? What in the world? Anyone know? I even crushed a Klonopin and took it but no help there.
Carmelita you sound like a Sleet Tech. (I should know, I studied to be one)
Thanks. I am beginning to wonder if it isn't the sweetness of the protein drinks as well. I can't usually tolerate artifiical sweeteners. My heart seems to race all day and I can feel it at night as well. Not sure what to change to. I am Day 5 post op.

Well, today is very, very different. I am dragging...
I did walk for 20 min. Went to the park and read my OH magazine. Came home and laid down for a couple of hours. Still couldn't sleep but couldn't be up either. Don't know what is going on and couldn't get my protein in today. My stomach is giving me fits, I think it is gas so I have been doing the gas x strips and drinking some hot tea, that seemed to help.
