I'm sure you will be fine but why would you try to get back into old nasty habits when you have been given this new tool for weight loss?  Please try to follow your doctor's orders and let your body heal. It takes up to 3 months for your scar tissue to cover the staple line in your sleeve....that is a long line of staples that you really don't want to have anything getting stuck between or anything like that.  Good luck with your new life..I am still LOVING my sleeve!

What are your surgeons guidelines for eating?  Mine were 2 weeks clear liquids, 1 week full liquids, 1 week mushies, then on to regular food.  However, you already ate the peanut butter, so what's done is done.  We have all had to learn to set aside our cravings and realize that we are responsible for the care of our sleeve now.  This is the time to learn, at long last, to control our eating.  I assume the PB was not chunky.  But try to follow the surgeons rules.  It's important.  We have all slipped from time to time, and lord knows I'm a PB junkie, but don't let this slip turn into more and more slips.  Work your sleeve now while it will do the most good.  Best wishes.

I have a better Idea, place one teaspoon of PB along with 1 tsp of low fat choc instant pudding into a protein shake..OMG it is wonderful.  I also substiute PB with Nutella

i would say no, because peanut butter sits very heavy in your stomach. i ate it once when i was on mushy stage, and i couldn't keep it down. i don't know why, i just felt like i had to burp but i'd burp up peanut butter, even though all i tried was like a teaspoon!

however, now at nearly 3 months out i can tolerate a little peanut butter. more than a few teaspoons will give me that burp feeling though.
