Alright 4/11/11 sleevers let's hear how it's going!!
I am down 6 pounds and 12 inches!!
Have had lots of trouble with whey, splenda and aspartame, chocolate. Now I'm told to try to get off the Truvia and do only honey, agave nectar and Stevia. Had to give up my SF jello, SF pudding, Torani Syrups, EAS chocolate protein powder, GNC Whey protein powder. Thank goodness they let me return them.
I'm not getting in enough calories or protein. Milk goes down pretty good so I drink a couple of cups a day, try to get some greek yogurt pureed with applesauce for protein, broth (made a pot roast and NO ONE got the juice but me!!) Yummy!!
Have my post op appt. on Thursday.
Didn't want anyone to know but my DH cannot keep a secret so it is slowly coming out.
Hope everyone is doing well, feeling well.

Congratulations, you are doing wonderful!
I was sleeved the day after you, on the 12th. I'm hanging in there. I had a very rough 2nd day at the hospital (non-stop vomiting) but am feeling much better now.
So far I'm done 6 lbs.

Hello, I was sleeved 4/11/11 too! I have my first post op visit today. I'm doing pretty good. I'm still on clear liquids which will end today and then I move to purees-looking forward to it! I know I've lost 20 lbs since my pre-op surgeon appt which was Mar 21st, not sure of exactly what I've lost since surgery. What was the whey, splenda doing to you? What issues was it causing?
The whey was too upsetting to my stomach. The Splenda makes me fuzzy headed and when I would lie down at night I would hallucinate and also it made me very nervous and I couldn't sleep. Splenda did this to me pre op but thought I could get through it since I never drank anything much or for too long with it in it but now I know. Let me know how your visit goes!
I was sleeved a day later 4/12/11.
Overall I'm feeling pretty well today -way better than I expected. The two days in the hospital were hard because it took a bit to get the pain & nausea under control. I spent my time in the hospital absolutely regretting my decision & thinking WTF have I done to my body?!?!
To get home we had a long day of flight delays 4 days after surgery, which I thought was going to be the end of me.
Since being at home I have started feeling really good - I'm able to get all my protien & liquids in. I decided to stick to just clear liquids for the first week and will progress to milky liquids this week.
I'm down 15lbs since surgery! And it's great to see results to motivate me through the healing phase.
@Jaco - soooo great to hear that you're doing better! I've been thinking of you.

Doing fantastic!
No regrets or sadness, other than a couple days of bad nausea in the hospital (morphine is not my friend..)
No loss of energy yet, minimal pain during the immediate few days post-op & am getting in almost all my fluids now (60oz) and protein (61 yesterday!) Calories are now in the low-mid 300's.. My plan is lo-carb 20-40 g a day, so other than protein sources and a little gatoraide for energy, that's it. My home-made chicken & turkey broth is a lifesaver.. with a half-scoop of Unjury chicken & half-scoop of unflavored.. Chicken flavor has soo much sodium.. trying to get the water weight gone.
Still on clears for a while.. having a slight liquid in = liquid out issue, however I'm beginning to think the Cytomax is mostly responsible as I don't get it as much with the Unjury.. and it is getting better every day.
I'm moving very well, went shopping yesterday.. can pick things off the floor again! No hunger, & no real head hunger yet despite being around food (hoping this lasts a good long time!)
Not down anything yet, and I only measure once a month.. but I'm not concerned as they pumped me so full of fluids in the hospital I looked like I had snausages for fingers & toes, seriously bloated!! I'm sure that's still hanging on somewhat as they blew up again when I was out walking..
Overall, I am very very happy that I did this!

Down 12 lbs since surgery (lost 25 pre-op by cutting back). I have done pretty well. I'm doing well today. Still struggling to keep up with the fluids and protien intake (can't always remember to consume something).
I also made a pot roast and let me tell you, that's the best darn juice! LOL.
I haven't had any issues with anything yet, but I'm really just starting purees, just surprised at how little I can consume ( I knew it would be this way, but I didn't KNOW it would be this way, ya know?).
It's going great for me so far. I plan to get back on my regular walking plan today.

Everyone is coming along just fine. I really lost 11 pounds but I hated that I gained 5 pounds right before surgery so I don't count that. I know pretty weird. That is my punishment I guess
I was happy to start walking, did 30 minutes but had to take a nap after but getting a lot done.
Will check in with you all in one week. Thanks for sharing!
