Pocrescophobia

The fear of gaining weight.
When people ask me how I have lost weight I plan on saying this. If I can figure out how to say it!

You plan on not telling people you had surgery?

So far I have told people. However, I have been laid off and not in the work environment for some time now. The people I have been telling are friends and family. and not just acqaintences.

I guess the gury is still out on what to do or how to handle that situation yet.

Well, I tried not to tell anyone. But you know there are people that you tell a little info and they don't ask questions then you have people that HAVE to know the details. That someone approached my husband. She was the one I really didn't want to know, she will  probably tell everyone. I didn't want any negativity so I chose to not tell anyone but my husband and boys until after. This person found out the day after surgery. Oh well!!

I didn't tell anyone and I have no intention of telling anyone.  (other than husband and grown children) I believe its a very personal choice and isn't anyone else's business what I do with my body.  Everyone is different however and if you want to tell people that is certainly your choice. 

Hope that your husband or children aren't the type that can't keep a secret. My husband about busted to tell someone so this was really the perfect opportunity for him to have an excuse. He would have told someone eventually.
