that I love my sleeve?  Some of you have heard me tell that I was originally banded almost 6 years ago.  For 5 years, I suffered with the sickness, throwing up and that "stuck" feeling.  I was miserable.  I finally told my surgeon last June that it had to come out.  On March 14th of this year, I was sleeved and I am so happy with it.  I'm 6 weeks out yesterday and haven't had any side effects (acid reflux, nausea, foamies).  Even though I stalled for 2 weeks at around 3 weeks, I have started losing again and it feels great.  I have not had any problems with any food that I've eaten, although I tried bread the other day and was "full" feeling for hours after.  And I have plenty of restriction so I know when it's time to stop.  No sickness.  What a wonderful thing for anyone contemplating this surgery.  I know every person is different but for me, this is the thing that will help me take back my life and live to see my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Woo Hoo!!!!

Have a blessed day!!!

That's great!  I'm glad that you're having a better time with the sleeve.  I've heard about so many problems people have with the band.

There's a guy I know who is lightly considering WLS and wants to do the lap band.  I have told him about all the complications I hear about but he says if he has surgery he wants to do the band.  Oh well.

Enjoy your sleeve journey!!

My step son is considering the lap band, even after everything he's seen me go through.  He said he wants to try it because it's reversable.  Everyone has to learn on their own sometimes.
