Urine Injections anyone?!?!

So yesterday I was at my primary drs office cause I had decided I probably had skin cancer.. ( I don't) **** YOU WebMD… you owe me a $5 copay.
Anyhoo… so my Doc was very impressed with my weight loss and we talked about how new diets come along…and over the next 100 years many more Weight loss surgeries will as well.
I told him my 90 year old grandmother always told me that in the 50 they would go to the clinic and get injections of "pregnant womens urine" (the first morning sample) and it helped them lose weight. I thought she was crazy……My Dr is an older fellow… he says ohhh yeah I remember that it was a very popular fad diet! And then I read this and crack up! hahahahahaaaaa

LOL... there is now a new fad (well, new again I guess) of the hCG diet... it's supposed to help. I work with two skinny girls who used it and were able to loose 7-10lbs from the areas that us mom's tend to be stuck with... they are both very fit and work out a lot... so who knows :-)

Yes, people who do the hcg diet are convinced that it's the hcg that is making them lose weight and not the fact that they are in a caloric deficit.

LOL Been there done that. yes it works. I lost 30lbs in 30 days. Was it healthy ?NO was I living a real life in the process?NO Did I gain the weight back? Yes with some friends.

Agreed. But, something to think about....urine has a few different uses. Human urine, animal urine...I'm sure others know about the most common...pregnant mare's urine.
