Redness around incision???

Yesterday one of my incisions developed redness around it. Today another incision has redness around it and the one yesterday is still having redness. They don't hurt. They just itch. Is this normal during healing or possible infection? Should I call the doc? (Don't wanna be a patient that calls for any little stupid thing.)

I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!

Sounds like normal healing. My entire stomach itched like heck for weeks! If the redness turns to pain, or anything starts oozing from the incision sites, I'd call the doc. For now, I'd just keep an eye on them.

Redness is ok, but if they are warm or if you start running a fever, then they are most likely infected. Contact your surgeon's office!

The incision around my belly button turned red and itched like crazy. eventually it went away.

Sounds like the healing process that mine took. Itches like crazy too! If it turns ugly, call the doctor anyway. If it is a concern to you; it is a concern to the doctor.

God made me with 2 ears and only 1 mouth for a good reason!
