I had surgery on the 27th and I can say that I feel like I am starving. Is this normal? I hear of people who have to make themselves eat but in my case my stomach is growling. Did you feel like you were starving?

I had something like that in the beginning but I realized I wasn't hungry. Sometimes it meant I was thirsty or my sleeve just wanted to "talk." I still don't know each time what it is but I try to stay on some type of schedule of eating so I know I'm not really hungry.

I have read on here where some people confuse hunger with acid and that a PPI, such as Prilosec, helps relieve that.

Some people never lose their hunger unfortunately. I am 6 months out and I still get hungry all the time. The nice thing about the sleeve is that I can only eat a small amount at a time so I CAN'T eat until I no longer feel hungry.

Yes, I was hungry also, some people say it's just head hungry. I feel for you, but it will pass. Have a protein shake, have some water then go for a short walk. It will get better, take care.

I had surgery on the 26th. Initially, I thought it was hunger but now I think it is the stomach adjusting? It happens primarily after I drink juice.

Those first few weeks I felt hungry most of the time. It was aweful.
I'm 9 weeks out and I still get hungry sometimes, especially from dinner time on. I drink more than 64 oz/fluid day and 80+ oz protein (mostly liquid form), and  can only eat about 1 oz of dense protein (like chicken). Usually, a protein shake takes care of it, but it sucks to still have that feeling.
I try to celebrate the restriction I have and take that hunger and tell myself that I'm losing weight, don't get 'down' because I can't satisfy my hunger with chewable foods. I know that restriction will change with the years so I want to use it while I got it.
Also, I'm on Nexium 2x/day and 300mg of Zantac at night.

Hang in there! :)
