Chicken
@Sabrina, I took off 4 weeks (I have a desk job) and there would have been no way I could have come back before 3 weeks. For those 1 to 2 week tough folks, they got that. I was not trying to push myself like that. Sitting or not, I was unconfortable and weak. And a wimp i'm not but what some folks forget that it's major surgery and you need time to heal so take as much time as you are able. You will need it....Just my $5 worth (yeah, my opinion is worth more than two cents..lol)

I came back exactly one week post-op (Tuesday). Apparently, the allergies are starting to kick up and I sneezed. For the last couple of days I feel like I've got a pulled muscle on my left side. That has really been the worst of my pain. I'd say take 10 days off. The doc said I could come back after 1 week but only to a desk job. Wanted me light duty for 1 month. In other words, go back when you feel like you're ready but don't ru****!
I had a roasted chicken craving last Saturday! So I sent my nephew down to El Pollo Loco to pick me up the $2.00 lunch special. I ate the chicken, drank the salsa, and gave him the tortillas. I was stuffed after a thigh and a wing! In the old days I could put away a family meal by myself in one evening.

I have a question everyone. I'm scared to start on the chicken (revision) so I will wait until I'm a full 2 months out 5/22. But my question is did any of you have restriction with anything else besides the chicken? I can eat yogurt and mashed potatoes like they are going out of style, so I'm hoping I will get to experience restriction with the chicken.
For me, the more dense the food, the better my restriction. Tonight we went to Taco Cabana for dinner, and I only ate about 1 1/2oz of chicken fajita, and a couple of fork fulls of refried beans. My little tummy locked up tight shortly thereafter. If I had taken another bite of anything on that plate, everything would have come back up. I'm really lovin' my sleeve!!!
