Has anyone been to Juarez, Mexico lately?

 I am going to have surgery with Dr. R but in Tijuana.  My reason?  I read the US Issued warning and Juarez is a "defer all travel plans".  I would recommend going with Dr. R in Tijuana....it isn't as high on the scary scale. :)

Out of curiosity I looked up crime in Juarez; it appears to me that the vast majority of it is drug related and aimed at those in the drug trade, or those working against it, not random tourists.
