Thanks for posting this.  I agree with those who say most of us have this fear.  I know it is very real with me. 
But,I am going to stick with the program and I am going to do my best to see it work.  Like the "Little Engine That Could"...  we are gonna get over that hill!

You're not nuts at all.  Failure was my biggest fear pre-op.  Period.  Bar none.  I think it's a pretty rational fear.

The difference between this and a diet is you can't really quit when you decide to....or you will pay some consequences...especially early out.  There's the physical restriction and mental adjustment that takes place.

My wife tasted my protein drink I'm sipping on now and started gagging, it tastes pretty good to me...not great but good.  I do not like a lot of the foods I used to consume in mass quantities...and I had the same fears.  I also think the commitment of getting the surgery done has a large mental impact on your decision making post op.

A vast majority of people do just fine if they stick to the script, the odds will be way in your favor :)
