April 2011 Sleevers: How ya doin'?
Doing just fine! I started purees yesterday and I've been eating pureed lamb with tzatziki and pureed strawberries for pretty much every meal. Changing to purees might have finally broken the stall I was in (pretty please!) as I was 194 for the past week or two, and was 192 this morning. Let's hope I didn't just jinx it!
Getting in food and water and protein just fine. Sometimes it feels like I didn't have any surgery done at all, and then I realize that I haven't been hungry since the 18th, and I figure he must have done something.

Doing great at 1.5 weeks out. I can swallow pills (still small) and decent big sips of water. I'm not super fast on the protein shakes but I can get them down eventually.
Losing inches is fun. Crossing my legs is fun, although I'm not quite there in dresses. Not having to stretch put t-shirts when I put them on is fun. Realizing I'm not all sore in the hips and feet at the end of every day is fun. Not feeling hungry is fun.
In fact, the only thing that really isn't fun is being fatigued. It comes in waves, thankfully.

I had surgery on April 21st. I'm doing well - eating Carbmaster yogurt at the moment. Today I had a scary dizzy spell but felt better after drinking a protein shake. Not sure what caused the dizzy spell but see my surgeon on Wednesday. I can't wait to start my mushies. I have lost 20 lbs since surgery and 44 lbs total. Cool!!
I was sleeved on the 4th! So happy today, in Onederland!!!! This was the best decsiion I have ever made-not really hungry, feel pretty satisfied, dense proteins like meats, salmon, a little tough to get down just have to take it really slow aqnd chew, chew, chew.
I am down about 24 pounds since surgery, and I am so happy, it is so freeing to lose the pounds that I have been hanging onto for many years. Exciting!! Good luck to us all!!!

Hi all!
My first month has been a rocky road! I was sleeved April 5. I've lost 42 pounds since then. I think a lot of what I lost was water weight though. Also, my starting weight was 402, so I still have a long way to go!
Eating has been rough. Once I swapped to meat, veggies, etc. I've had problems. First time I had chicken thigh, it was fine. But the next time I had it (prepared the same way.) My stomach didn't agree. I seem to have this problem with everything I try =( Sadly, the only think that doesn't hurt, and someone "sothes" my stomach is tortilla chips. I did not have surgery to eat chips all the time!
Tomorrow morning I will finally start working out as part of my morning routine. I was walking daily, but it got too hot for that. I would get weak quickly.
I really need to find a support group in my area! OH is great, but it's not always easy to convey feelings and emotions through text.

Good for you for working out tomorrow!! Keep us updated!! It is getting too hot here. I have never been able to take the heat. I tried walking this morning but wasn't sure I would make it back home, I was so weak from the heat and walking fast and needed some protein pronto!
If you can't find a support group, start one!! I am having our first meeting tomorrow night. There will be 4 of us. I will be posting an update on my OH blog after the meeting so you know what we talked about if you are interested.
There is lots of good advice here on OH, open a document on your computer and copy things that look interesting, recipes, ideas, what works for others and paste it onto the document. I have done that many times over. I print it out when I get a lot and go back and look at it often. Also, do a search for support groups in your area or call your insurance, sometimes they know of some.
You are doing great, keep up the good work!!
I am doing good, happy to start soft foods on Wednesday. I am down 40lbs since pre-op diet started on 4-4. Down 24lbs since surgery on 4-20. And I officially hate chewable vitamins! Glad to hear everyone doing well.

Glad to hear everyone doing well. 1 month out today and I am feeling GREAT! I had a rough week 2 and week 3 because I didn't lose an ounce and it really bothered me, but the scale started moving after a 13 day stall. I've lost 4 lbs since the stall broke so I'm so happy about that.
It also feels great to be eating regular foods and it still amazes me just how little of it I can eat. I know I can eat baked chicken wings (1 wing with skin removed) and pot roast (about an ounce at a time) before I feel stuffed, but it just feels great to be past the hardest time.
