You sound just like me. It sound like the band was safer, but turns out not. The specific skills required for the sleeve--being able to cut, staple, stitch laproscopically is a different skill set than applying the band. It is important to research potential surgeons and make sure you know how may laprscopic bypasses they have done (for the the basic surgical technique experience) and how many sleeves. Lap band experience shouldn't count as much as the more spesecific experience. Find someone who has done 100-200 sleeves if you can maybe fewer if that is on top of lots of bypass. Sounds like you have it under control! Good luck finding the right surgeon. Dr Jawad in Ocala did mine on 4/18. He is one of the best in the world in traveling to FL would work for you. Can't say enough nice about him. Really the bomb!!!

wow okay.. thats excellent advice. I have 4 kids that need me here. Gonna continue to research the heck out of the procedure and the surgeon involved, serious business indeed!
