Water makes me nausious?
I'm almost 2 weeks out, and water has made me nausious from day 1. Other things (Propel zero, protein shakes, milk, soup) do not make me nausious. I can drink water, I just feel uncomfortable for a few minutes after the first sip.
Has anyone else had this problem? How long did it take to go away?

Sorry that is going on but we are all so totally different. I was and am able to drink water from day one. I cannot stomach the flavored stuff, nothing, nada...well, except for sweet tea but I have to stay away from that.
My friend on the other hand is at goal and has been for months and has not been able to drink plain water at all, still can't. She drinks lots of sugar free lemonade and sometimes mixes it with protein powder.
Hope that helps some.

Totally know what you mean!
I just passed a month and I still cannot drink water. I never liked it much before but I was able to drink it with no problem. But since my surgery, it has actually made me nauseaus. It is really upsetting because I don't really like many diet drinks so I am having a really hard time getting my fluids in.
I think I might be better once I am able to drink more than a sip at a time, but I really hope this water problem goes away soon.

Does the water have a taste to it. I seem to be more sensitive to tastes after surgery ( I am 9 days out ) and some water tastes awful to me, because of this I often flavor my water with crystal light or substitute it with propel. I am having more of a problem with the Boost ( Protien drink ) that I have to have. I was never a big milk drinker prior to surgery and to me it tastes like chocolate milk. I am supposed to be drinking an ounce, of Boost, every hour and I almost gag it down everytime. I think the thickness bothers me also, it reminds me of whole milk and I was raised on skim. But I know what you are talking about with the uncomfortable feeling, because that is what my boost does to me. I am just hoping I can hold out until I start soft foods, which is in 2.5 weeks. Hopefully then I can start substituting the Boost for things like cottage cheese, and be rid of the Boost for good!
