I'm down 30 pounds since VSG on 4/11, down 17.5 inches too. So happy!!

Exercise: I'm really enjoying it! Powerwalking, lawn and gardening, elipitical

Protein: some days getting enough, others not so much

Liquids: for me, only water. I know most can't tolerate plain water, I am blessed, I usually get plenty.

food: chicken, cottage cheese, bites (theworldaccordingtoeggface.com), hotdogs (yum), well about 1/3. really eating almost anything, mostly protein. Can get in 2-3 oz. of food at one time.

Vits: Getting in Prisolec by opening capsule and dumpin it on my tongue, Prenatal vitamen (not pregnant but it made my hair look great when I took it before), that's it. I need to get some calcium, magnesium and Vit. D, have to figure that out.
Trying to get this weight off ASAP.

You go girl. Sounds like you are really working it.
My VSG was 4/18 and I'm nowhere near as far as you.  My labs say I'm dehydrated...joy!  And I'm having gall bladder problems.  I can't get enough liquids or pureeds in.  Right now I can get about 1 ounce of yogurt or 2 ounces of a soup in at a time.  That is about it for solids.  Protein shakes don't go down well at all, they come back up.  Haven't been given the okay to try any soft foods yet since I'm having such trouble with pureed and liquids.  Vitatmins are tough since they nauseate me.

Good news is I'm down about 20 lbs since surgery and off of my blood pressure meds already.
Hopefully I'll catch up with you once some more swelling goes down in a few weeks.  Can't wait to try some protein other than yogurt!!!

Keep up the great work.

Surgery 4/7/11.
Down 33 lbs (including 11 on pre-op diet)
Didn't measure until a couple of weeks post-op but down 11 inches since then.
Still struggling with small enough bites and chewing enough.
Can eat 3-4 ounces without discomfort but up to 3/4 cup of soup on some days.
Getting 70+ gm of protein but struggling to get 64 oz of fluids in now that I only do 1 protein shake a day.
Taking a multi vitamin, Calcium, flaxseed, CoQ10 and a "hair/skin/nails" formula.
Continuing the Nexium I took preop and still taking a Zantac OTC 1 - 2 times a day.
Still struggling with low energy.  Thinking about adding a sublingual B12.
Walking about 2 miles 2-3 times a week.  Trying to do more but not til energy levels increase.
Plan to start a C25K later this month.
Minimal hairloss.  Skin breaking out tho
     Never, never, never give up!

You are doing really well. Keep it up! glad you can get all those vits in.
I know about the bites and chewing. Have you used the small baby spoons? I used those in the beginning and it helped me figure out what size bites to take. I don't use them now but when I hurt, I realize what I have done.
I began the Podrunner.com C25K. Don't know about running yet. Afraid I will bust a knee or hip. But I am so ready. May try a little jogging this week.

I'm 3 weeks out today and 10lbs down.  I'm at a stall, but I'm not sweating it.  At my heaviest I was 420 and I am now 274lbs.  (previously a Lap-Bander)

I am on my mushie phase still and I am working in a few harder mushies like the chickpea fritters from worldaccordingtoeggface.com. My guilty pleasue is ground taco meat in queso.  Not the healthiest thing but I'm not gorging on it.  I can do about 3 tablespoons or so of that.  I am mostly eating chicken salad, protein shakes, and sugar free popsicles.  I also got the ricotta bake from eggface and I am eating that.

I honestly need to walk more, but my energy level is crappy. I am drinking the protein, taking the vitamins, and drinking the water, but I still don't have my energy back yet.  I figure that will come over time.

Also, things taste more acidic than usual for me now.  No reflux or heartburn, but the tomato sauces or some condoments taste really acidic compared to how they used to.  Maybe that will pass too.

Next step is dr visit on 5/27 and then I go to working in solids.

Eggface is great for ideas!! I enjoyed the beef and broccoli bites but I used ground turkey instead. I'm having a hard time with groudn beef. I may need to try that ricotta bake, I'm tired of what I'm eating.

I definitely have to try and walk on those days when i have some energy. Unfortunately, today was not one of them. I'm hoping when I start mushies on Saturday that I might feel a bit better. Guess I need to head over to eggface and look at some recipes, huh?

Other than fluctuating fatigue, I feel great. I didn't lose but about one pound the first week postop, but then I've lost ten since then, so that's great. Clothes are getting too big and I'm now fitting into some clothes from a couple of years back.

I need to figure out how sizes work now! At what size does regular clothing start? 16? 18? Depends on the brand? I don't even know anymore!

Thanks for asking and keeping up with us!
Mom to 8, looking forward to a healthy future!

Well done!!
The only protein shake I am able to get down is EAS Soy Chocolate powder and add soy milk with at least 11 grams of protein in the milk and 20 in the powder. I have usually 1  a day I feel so full afterwards, uncomfortably full. I added the PB2 powdered peanut butter last week and it tasted good but was even more filling.
