6 weeks post op:  Energy returned about 10 days ago mid a 2 1/2 week plateau.  Finally losing again this last week.  Eating regular food 2 to 3 oz at a time.  Eating a high concentration of soft things cause they seem to be the protein things:  eggs, beans, tuna, yogurt, cottage cheese.  This AM had my first half of an lite English Muffin with Cottage Cheese and butter.  Cool!  Still need two soy milk shakes a day to get in the required protein.  TG, I like them.  Nutritionist told me to add fruit to add good carb calories and to add some small amounts of other carbs.

Can't seem to get much over 1000 calories a day.  Light-headed only when I have had a busy day or haven't gotten in enuf calories.  Off Protonix: instead having a cup of tea in the AM to calm tummy.  Had a cheeseburger Friday for dinner.  Took one small real bite: then tossed bread out - ate half - put away for two hours and ate all but a small amount of it.   Was great!

Exercise is my worst.  I have done some walking but very inconsistent.  Walked for a few hours through an art show this past weekend but not aerobic at all.  Going to FLA at end of month.  Will be in a house with a pool and a dog to walk so that will help.

Chewable vitamins upset my stomach and give me a weird rush (maybe B's).  Doing some reserach into what else I might take.  Thinking about trying to swallow pill supplements again.  Post surgery w/hiatal hernia fix I couldn't swallow any pills.

You are doing really well. You are eating what I am eating, which I guess most are doing the same. I have tried some melon which went down really well. Keep on with what you are doing!!

Hi i had op on 21/4/11 and am doing ok, had a couple of down days over the weekend were i was beginning to question why i had done this (who knew time of the month would do that will be ready for that next month).
Am getting in all my fluid and vits am struggling a bit with food soups and yoghurts no problems but more substantial kinda sits in my chest for a while even tho i chew and chew but no worries i know it will come. Ive had a bit of a stall in the weight loss this last week but again no worries it will come.
My hubbie keeps telling me he can see a change in me and i def can feel a loosening in my clothes (have had to buy smaller underwear lol).

had surgery on 4/26/11.

Down 36 lbs since surgery. Today is my first day back at work and folks already see a difference. Weird to get compliments, bit I am not complaining. So far getting in at least 48 ounces of water. Still not getting in all protein, bit sometimes I am full and can't pu****

No pain, incisions healing nicely, especially drain. Walking, elliptical daily. Gonna go out to a bike shop and pick up a hybrid. Got my nephew a 'big boy' bike yesterday so we can go riding together. I feel great, my skin is clearing up and my clothes are falling off lol.

Kudos to all April sleevers!!

It has been 31 days since my new life began! I am down 31 lbs post op.
I am really fighting head hunger, normally when I get home from work. As well I quit smoking and that urge is a battle as well, but I a, working at it and not caving in!!

I am getting most of my water in daily aprox 80 oz. But struggle with my protien. The protien pwoder in  Alberta is not a very large selection and I have yet to find a powder I can enjoy. I ordered some profect shots from the states and oh my goodness I can't stand them, they are super yucky to me! And I ordered 24!! what was I thinking lol

I am embarassed to say but I am not exercising much, I am tired after work and to be honest I make excuses. I do exercise about 3 times a week but feel guilty and am hard on myself over not doing more of it.

I take vitamins...2 multi chewables a day, b-12 2 times a day, calcium chewables 2 times a day and also vitamin d. I want to add the hair and nails one soon.

My foods are still pretty soft. cottage cheese, deli ham (sometimes), fish lots of fish, canned tuna, eggs. I tired some steak just a tiny bit this weekend and it hurt so I don't think I am ready for harder foods. I am staying away from breads because they are my demise!!

I did get a bike this weekend and I am going to start riding as soon as the wind dies down here in Northern Alberta. I need to find some exercise I enjoy!

Hey fellow Albertan!  We use the Pro Performance Low Carb/Low Fat protein powder from GNC.  it's not too bad tasting, has 170 cal and 40g protein in 2 scoops.  Definitely helps me hit my protein levels when I'm low.

April 19th was my surgery date. I have good days and bad days but that is all part of the adjustment period.  I went back to work after the first week.  My energy has been ok and I am on mushy/soft foods.
