Feb. 2011 - Sleeve Sister and Brother Check in
Fay needs a fashion intervention!!! Honey we just need to take you out and buy you some great new clothes. You know you are gonna look great!!!! God I wish we lived closer to each other!!!
I can't really say I cook but I eat at home... Cottage cheese, tuna, grilled chicken etc pretty boring, I eat out for some diversion. What do you cook???
Had to talk myself down from some drive thru french fries on Sunday - I wanted them BAD! Oddly I was never really a fast food person before surgery.

An how (Lil Rascals voice). When i cook I may make Talapia on occassions. I have been bad. My stepson is staying with me so 2 young men with functioning metabolisms. I think I will stop attempting to feed them regular food.
I can bring myself to buy clothing for me. I just took my son shopping. I think I have a mental block. Last weekend I went shopping for me I came home with a Viewsonic tablet.... and NO clothes.
I wish you lived closer too.

Hi everyone,
It's good to see how others are doing that are 3 months out. I have my 3 month appointment next week and I supposed to get labs drown.
Okay I'm down 51 pds including pre-op. I've gone from a size 20 to a size 16 and some 14W. I've lost more inches than I have pds feel like. I'm stalling this week but I just pray it goes away soon. My current weight is 219/220 (I've seem to go up down between the two #'s)
The good: Losing weight and feeling good. I'm able to fit into clothes I haven't been able to wear since 2005. I feel so great and my confidence has gone sky high...
The bad: Having to buy clothes all of the time. Also I hate these stalls. This is my second one and I wanted to be near the onderlands when I had one again but I can't get out of the 200's.
Overall: Life has been great! I eat about 800 calories a day and exercise 4 times a week. I get about 80 grams of protein in and 120 ozs of water. Taking all of my vitamins: (multi, B-12, calcuim and iron)....

Hi lady,
I love water. I think I love it too much that it's making me stall because I don't think I get enough food in because I refuse to be dehydrated but I usually drink 16.9 oz on my way to work then I drink another 16.9 oz of water when I arrive then I wait 30 mins eat then wait another 30 mins after eating then drink 32 more ozs of water wait 30 mins then eat lunch wait another 30 mins drink 32 more ozs then get home make unjury soup (which I drink with 8 oz of water) then drink another 16.9 oz water with benefiber then I go to the gym drink more water and then I usually drink a bottle a water before going to bed. So now since you know my schedule...lol. That's how I do it! I'm easing up on the water starting today (per my nutrition request)

I just had my three month weigh in and I'm down 110Lbs! I just went to the local goodwill for some clothes....never expected I would find anything to wear and came home with an entire new wardrobe! I can sleep without my cpap now, climb stairs, walk! ( I was using a wheelchair for the last three years) and I even got my first "wolf whistle" last week! I still hate my sleeve ( loads of complications from it) but I am loving what it is doing for me!
Wow 110 lbs?!?!
That is great weight loss!! I LOVE my local Goodwill...I found a really nice one with great selection. I was never a goodwill shopper before but I can't keep spending so much money to keep up my wardrobe.
I'm so happy for you and your nsv's...to get out of a wheelchair has got to feel great! I'm sorry that you've been having complications with your sleeve. Hopefully things will continue to get better for you!
