Well, honey, my insurance won't cover WLS, so the FULL $13,600 is coming from MY pocket. THAT alone should be my motivation, huh?! LOL So failure is NOT an option I can afford.  And you are sooooooooo right about the gas! I drive a Tahoe. I put $80 in my tank yesterday and that BARELY put me on full. Then I drove to my preop appt. Tell me why THAT trip alone took a little over a 1/4 of a tank! UGH.... At least after surgery, I won't be able to pig out! LOL That should save me some cash!

Hugs to you, Sistergreek!

Your worries are like all others, but you have to DECIDE to succeed and YOU WILL, darlin   The good thing is that we are all here together - going thru the same motions and emotions.

Thanks! And I'm so grateful to have you all here with me. This forum has helped me in ways unimaginable! No one else can possibly understand what this is like if they haven't been there. And you are right... I have to decide to be successful! I have, now, it's time to put it into action!

I am so releived, this is the first time that I will have posted.  I am scheduled for surgery on June 30 and what was written is exactly how I feel.  thanks for posting your feelings.

Thanks so much for replying! This forum is a great place to post how you feel, whether it's excitement, fear or whatever. Since I joined this board, I've NEVER felt alone in this journey. Congrats on your surgery date. I can assure you that as that date comes closer, your emotions will magnify as mine have. BUT, I'm going through with this! Mind over matter. Keep the faith! You (AND I) will succeed!

You need to ask for a "hat" when you have to pee in a cup.  i didn't know about this until about a year ago when I was offered a "hat", having no clue what it was but it sure is easier than peeing in the cup.

LOL! I'll remember that for next time! BUT hopefully, the next time I have to pee in a cup, I won't need it!
SIDENOTE: That lady saw how big I am! She shoulda offered me one or something! LOL
