Today is my two week out anniversary.  I am in so much pain today and I am back at work.  I called the doctor because I was worried I pulled something.  It hurts right beside my belly button.  I was crying when I talked to the nurse because I was feeling better aside from being weak.  The PA told me to go home take some pain meds and put a hitting pad on my tummy that I may have pulled something when sneezing, ect.  It is just so frustrating.   Please, please tell me this gets better because I am miserable.   Did anyone else have this problem two weeks out?

oh Kimi it will get better trust me.....it takes some time getting used to...you deff may have pulled something sneezing...stretching wrong...even bending over....just do what the PA said to do...take a deep breath....and think nothing but positive thoughts...and remember it takes time...I know how frustrating your feeling right now it too will pass....go slow don't rush things.....take it easy.....you can do this...

Thanks.  I keep asking myself.  What the hell have I done to myself?  I am sure this will pass.

Thanks for the warm thoughts and advice.

Every time I sneezed for about a month I'd feel like I tore something in my abdomen. It eventually stopped and I can sneeze and do all things normal after that first month. Just take it easy and if you have to sneeze I found holding my stomach tight helped control the pain.

The feeling of "omg what the heck did I do to myself" started for me the day after my surgery....so you are so very normal.....It deff gets better. Keep coming to this site it will help....and please just take things slow...don't rush yourself.

My first day back at work was rough.  I had to take the next day off, I felt a lot of strain in my tummy from holding myself up in my chair all day for the first time since surgery.  I went back the day after, which was a Friday.  Then I spent the weekend resting and was fine.  I went back after 7 days, but it is different for everyone.  I expect a lot of people feel rough the first day or so back at work, unless they have several weeks off.   And even then, I bet it can still be hard.  Hang in there, in a week or so you will feel just fine.  Best thing you can do is listen to your body and take it easy.  Good luck!
