April 2011 Sleevers what's up?
Pounds lost: 16 since surgery, plus 10 pre-op for 26 total. Have lost nothing for the last 6 days. I'll find out inches soon--NUT has baseline readings & I have appt on Wed.
Supplements: Journey Bariatric Capsules, sublingual B12, Iron every other day
Meds: Off both hypertension meds. BP this morning was 118/78. One hypertension med was a diuretic. In the past if I didn't take it, I would go up about 3 pounds & I'm hoping I was losing 3 pounds this week but that was masked by stopping water pill. Still taking PPI.
Food: (I have been on soft foods for 1 1/2 weeks, early for what I see on this forum) Premium Protein Choc shake daily, 65g protein, 64 oz water. Turkey, chicken, string cheese, cottage cheese, asparagus, broccoli, shrimp. Favorite meal so far: 1 oz shredded tender chicken breast, 1 asparagus spear, 1 thin slice of avocado, yum. Had kind of a "heavy" food day yesterday, but it tracked at 550 calories, so I figure an average day is between 400 and 500 calories. I tried to set a 600 calorie goal on Livestrong, the site told me that was an unattainable goal. Hah!
Excercise: Walking with hubby daily, just starting to bike in my very flat & almost no cars neighborhood. Will start to up the cardio next week when I'm 1 month out.
Overall: I feel pretty dang good. Clothes are fitting much better. I don't totally have the swing of eating & drinking on a groovin' schedule, but feel like I'm getting there. I have woken up with a headache most mornings and would love to have that go away. I will speak with NUT about it. This three-week-stall business is irksome, tho normal, I know. It does make me want to go out and hit someone over the head who's spouting off the "calories in/calories out" bull**** They totally leave out the ability of the human body to adapt to anything it can to survive, and survival means hanging on to body mass like grim death. My net calorie income after 1 hour walk was 230 calories. Seems like I'd spend more than that in a day lugging around my body, eh?
Good luck to us all!
Managing to get all vitamins in, about 70 gms protein and about 65-70 ozs liquid, mostly unsweet tea. Started walking yesterday, a mile a day to start. Threw out half my closet this morning, things are too big. So I am down 23 lbs. and 23 inches. So far, so good.
I am down 25 pounds since the morning of surgery 33 pounds heaviest weight.
I am feeling great, getting in all vitamins mostly, exercising, still working on getting in all the water required.
I don't drink protein shakes anymore as I got so tired of them but love the Pure protein bars from costco, 20 grams of protein per bar!
My diet consists of variety, focusing on protein first, string cheese, eggs, chicken, shrimp, soft fruits and veggies, life is good! Weight loss has been a bit slow last couple of weeks but I know it will move, patience :)
Good luck to us all!

None of my clothes except for my summer dresses fit me anymore. Skirts are all out, shirts are huge, it's insane. I'm really lucky in that I'm losing weight all over instead of it all coming out of one place at first. My belly is actually going way down, which is odd for me, but awesome. I put on a size 16 skirt the other day at Old Navy, and it fit! Sure it's an Old Navy 16, but I'm counting it!
Feeling okay. I got really tired there for a while, and I'm still a little run down, but a little better. I realized this weekend that I was getting crazy emotional lately, and then noticed that I had forgotten to take my Celexa for the last two weeks, which my doctor gave me specifically to help during these hormonal stages.
I start mushies this week (meeting is tomorrow, and I hope they let us start then) and I am super excited. Getting all my vitamins and protein. Slacking a bit on the water, which I need to pick up!
Pounds lost: 76 total (41 pre-op, 35 post-op)
Inches lost: Not sure. Down 4-6" on waist and a full shirt size, almost 2.
Exercise: walk most days, some light basketball, softball, street hockey, just playing with my 5 and 1 year olds keeps me moving and not being a potato.
Food: most anything. Lots of chicken, turkey, buffalo, jerky, cheese, milk, salmon, tuna, yogurt.
Liquids: 60-80 oz most days. Muscle cramps at bedtime are INSANE if I don't get enough, so I make damn sure to get enough now.
Loving my sleeve. The restriction was better than I expected, and thrilled with the results thus far, despite a two week stall that finally broke this week.
Wishing you all success.

I had my surgery on 4-5-11 so I am 7weeks out. I LOVE MY SLEEVE.
I am down about 47 pounds (15 pre-op and 27 since surgery). I just plain feel better in my body. Ya know what I mean, right?!!
I am eating lots of beans, cheese sticks, chicken, tuna, some protein bars, fish, soft fruits and veggies. Muscles milk seems to be my best protein drink. I mix it with equal amounts of skim milk so it is easier to get down.
Walking is my exercise of choice right now. I try to get in at least a mile every day. I also have some hand weights that I work with for my upper body, just to keep things toned. Right now, I have been spending LOTS of time outside raking, pulling weeds, planting flowers and mowing. In general, enjoying the outdoors. I love summer in Minnesota!!!
Usually I get all of my vitamins in. Some days I miss a chewable calcium in the evening, but in general, doing pretty good. And water is still hard for me. I get in about 55-64 oz, so I could always do better and try for 64 each day.
It is really great to hear how others are doing. Yay!!!! for everyone for putting in the effort and working so hard!!

I am 6 weeks out and I have lost a total of 40lbs. 10 pre-op and 30 post-op. I stalled for about 2 weeks, but this week the scale started to move again. I started going to the gym last week and I am burning around 400 calories on the elliptical every weekday (I have to have weekends off or I would kill someone). I do walk on the weekend, but it's pretty much a leisurely stroll with my dogs. For food I have been eating Jennie-O turkey meatballs, chicken salad, tuna, fake crab, refried beans, chobani yogurt, some cooked vegetables, a lot of cheese (mostly string cheese but also laughing cow wedges), and a protein shake usually muscle milk light mixed with skim milk before I go to the gym. I still have trouble getting my water in, but I have been doing better. I wish the weight would come off faster, I am ready to be skinny already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
