I was sleeved on March 14th and my husband got the call yesterday that he will be sleeved on June 20th.  Woo Hoo!  Even though I know he's gonna kick my butt in the weight loss department and brag about it the whole way there, it'll be nice to both be on the same page when it comes to eating.  He's being a little baby girl about it though.  When I found out my surgery was planned, I wanted it the next day.  I mean, it couldn't get here soon enough.  Now that my husband has a date, he's starting to crawdad.  I just told him to buck up soldier - it's a breeze and life is so much better.

Everyone have a great afternoon!!

Congrats to you both!  I wish my husband would get the sleeve so he too could enjoy benefits.  Sometimes I feel a bit guilty, he is in worse health than I am/was.  But, I am the one who went after it.  I am hoping he will at least benefit from my lifestyle changes.  I would never say anything, but I worry about him...

When i started preparing for the surgery, my husband started watching his meals and included excersize.  He's lost over 60 lbs on his own but he knows he will struggle keeping it off without this surgery and he wants to lose another 50 or so pounds.  This should be fun.

My hubby and I are both sleeved... we were sleeved by the same surgeon at the same hospital 3 weeks apart!  And, hubby has kicked my butt... but it was nice having someone to bounce things off of...

With that said, just a warning that your outcomes and experiences might be completely different.  Hubby had relatively no pain, I was in agony.  My hubby can eat pretty much anything... I cannot tolerate many things and actually dump on a lot of stuff.  My hubby's labs were and still are excellent... and he doesn't even need to drink protein shakes anymore nor take vitamins... me, on the other hand, my protein levels were low and lots of my labs were off...

All in all though, I am so glad we did this together... and I hope you both will be too...

My husband and I were sleeved about 6 months apart, he went first. NOT recommended! So hard to follow his amazing and very huge losses with my piddly 15 pounds per month! It is so amazing to have someone to bounce ideas off of and to have there for support. Also very nice to be able to cook for two instead of making different meals (do that anyway because we have kids, but you know...).
