Hi, I am still pre op but already planning far ahead to the future for the cosmetic surgery that I will undoubtedly need-please tell me how it can be worded medically instead of cosmetically for the insurance company to cover it-I know that I may possibly need a partial hysterectomy in the future and that excess skin on my stomach will probably continue to aggravate my bad back-please advise.
Romy, you're young. I'd give my body every possible chance to bounce back before I started thinking of more surgery - at least a year after you hit goal. I've seen many people, old and young, on the board talk about how their skin continued to improve after they reached goal. Frankly, plastic surgery is very invasive and much more painful that the WLS. I'd try to keep it to an absolute minimum. But that's just me. I HATE surgery. It took me a long time to work myself up to the WLS. Don't know whether I'll want or need to work myself up to plastics!
I really thought I'd have plastics by now, but getting pregnant was more important and pressing. I can tell you that over the last year since being at goal, my skin has rebounded so much. The boobs are shot, there's no help for them without surgery. I'd still get a tummy tuck, but I'm heavily considering skipping the lower body lift. If I'd work out more, and put more effort into how my body looks, I'm not sure I'd even get a TT.
The boobs are getting fixed regardless. But, I'd definitely no less than 6-12 months once hitting goal unless you are just absolutely miserable and need it medically.

Im well past considering and moving into scheming on getting on a reality show or Dr. Phil to get someone to pay for it. My insurance says medically necessary too but I dont know how much it will cover. I NEVER thought that I would want plastics, I just wanted to be healthier, but as I get closer and closer to goal, and lowering it another 20 lbs. I want it to look better too...still gonna wait a year after goal
