Hey Everyone

My hubby had gastric sleeve surgery on the 17th of May & he's down 30lbs & I had surgery on the 24th & only down 15lbs  I feel like i'm competing with him . lol . I'm wondering if i'm doing anything wrong ?? Also starting my pureed & soft food stage ,please give me some suggestions on what you have eaten in the beggining stages of post op .

Thanks so much !!

Hate to tell you but from everything I see and hear, we are the lucky ones on that front. It comes off us generally faster than women. Sorry

I would suggest at this point though, don't worry about doing anything wrong as long as you are following your Docs orders. Keep up the fluid intake and take care of yourself and you'll be fine.

Thanks for your reply Jason . You guys are always the lucky ones!! I definetly will follow your advice on drinking more fluids because I haven't really been keeping up with that I probably have like 2 bottles of water a day & I know that's not enough .

Thanks Again!!

Thanks I feel likes it's a good amount but when I see the hubby's numbers I get a little discouraged .

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever again express disappointment  over losing 15 pounds in TWO WEEKS!!!!   Men may lose faster but we sure do look darn cute!  I could have cream of wheat, yogurt, natural applesauce, and creamy soups in my mushy food stage.  You are doing great- do not compare yourself to anyone else-male or female.
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!

Well I can beat that...I have only lost 12lbs in 13 days and I seriously doubt I will get to 15lbs in 2 weeks.

Sounds like you are right on track. I had surgery May 27th, Friday will be two weeks post op and I'm down 11 pounds as of today. Still also having some problems with getting all the fluids down but we will get there... Step by step. Just keep doing your best and it will continue to come off!
