Everyone and their brother knows I had the VSG and I'm pretty confident in my new body as long as I have clothes on! Give them my name!

I totally know what you mean. I havent had surgery yet. I am just beginning the process but I am struggling with how much I share and with whom. Maybe its my insecurities but a part of me do not want to tell everyone. I am sharing my journey with my family and 2 of my closest friends but no one else.
So I will say do what you feel. If you think you will feel bad about it later and you dont want to be judged then dont do it. Not doing the commercial doesnt mean you are not helping out or givinig people hope! Good luck in your decision!

Dee, thanks for your honest feedback. It is such a difficult decision on who to tell, or not to tell. Part of the fear for me was "oh, what if the sleeve doesn't work for me?" I'm a very outgoing and have a former television reporter -- so I'm sure all of that played into them wanting someone who will appear confident and, if I do say so....lookin pretty darn good (even better with the weight loss). I guess for all of us, it's about our individual journey.........and part of that is how and when to share, if we choose to do so at all Good luck with your deision as well!

I think it is an honor that they asked you and nothing can take that away from you.

But let me throw this out at you, do you want to be known as "the lady who had the sleeve ". No matter where go, you may be reconized.

Just wanted to give you something to think about.. Good luck with your decision.....
