Is there a trick when making protein shakes in blender?

Gina, if I use too much ice then it separates for me. I also love the magic bullet. I found that 4 ice cubes is perfect for me. And I use Hood Calorie Countdown milk instead of water.

You'll find your perfect shake.

I use an immersion blender.  I just pour everything in to a glass (protein powder, skim milk, and some ice from my icemaker which is crushed,) stick the end of the wand/blade thing down as far as I can and pulse blend.  Makes it just like a frozen margarita!  Only it doesn't taste like margarita.  Lol.  P.S.  I got mine at Target for like $21 or $22.  It's great!  When I'm done I take it directly over to the sink and rinse it well.  No big clean up.

The only protein drink that I have found that doesn't foam up is PURE PROTEIN whey protein. It is made by the same company that makes the Pure Protein bars.  They only have one or two flavors right now but the chocolate is as good as the protein bars.  I got mine at Wal Mart in the pharamacy area where all of the protein bars and other protein drinks are. The best thing is the container is only 2lbs and around $16 so if you don't like it, you have not spent a fortune.

Good luck,
