Atkins protein shake????

I just got home from the gym, showered, and went to pour my protein shake and it is all lumpy. UGH.  Is it normal for protein shakes to curdle?  I think it is time for me to start making my own, I tried 1 last week with unjury powdered protein and did not like it.

Google "Atkins shake thick" or use the word lumpy or something like that- they had a run where somehow they used too much thickener- it's still ok to drink, it's not bad. I wrote to them via their website "contact us" and complained as I bought a 12pk of the vanilla and a 4pk of the latte flavor for my post-op and couldn't drink them due to the vanilla being lumpy & the latte was basically pudding- too thick for my stomach!! I had to provide the UPC number etc.. They ended up sending me $$$ in coupons to replace them with any other Atkins products.

I'm hoping they go back to the way they used to be as I love the vanilla, I can doctor it up any way I like and it tastes good.. until then, pour it at room temp over some ice in a shaker cup and mix, lumps go away- or whizz it in a blender for a sec.

Thanks for the advice!  I will contact them.  I don't think I could drink it even if I took the lumps out, it really grossed me out!

They are slow to respond, but give them all the info you have.. including your address.. when they responded to me I tried to reply, but the mail was bounced back, so I had to go back to the website and reply with the info they requested including the CSR's name from the email that bounced (date & location of purchase, price, UPC (I didn't have, so I included the numbers printed on the top of the shakes..) I never heard back. Several weeks later I received an envelope with the coupons for the total amount I spent. Good luck!

Thanks again and when I went to their site they are also offering a free "weight-loss kit" that includes 3 protein bars plus it looks like maybe recipe books??  It looks pretty nice. Thanks for steering me in that direction!  Have a great day!
