5 months out tomorrow w/pics
Tomorrow it will be 5 months since my VSG. It has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself and I have not regretted it for even a second. I have been one of the lucky ones who managed to avoid stalls (not by my own doing), tolerate all foods and have never felt sick. My highest weight was 275, I was 229 on surgery day and am 162 today and am feeling like I am very close to where I want to be weight wise. There are so many things that I never knew were affected by the weight I had gained. Its nice to no longer have all that **** hanging over my head "weighing" me down. I don't look around a room to see if I am the biggest person anymore, I don't have to search through racks and racks of clothes to find the one plus size dress that doesn't look like it fell out of the ******g seventies! I don't feel the need to constantly dress up to compensate for the mess that is my body. I wouldn't take back a moment of this **** for anything, not even the liquid diet... yup I said it! Id do that **** all over in a ******g heartbeat to be where I am today! If you are quietly reading these boards and wondering how to approach this, or what you want to do... go for it. Don't be like me, as you can see I joined this site in 2007.... that was a long ******g time ago!!!! Get your life back and enjoy every moment! So heres Jen signing out 5 months out---67 down pounds and happy as a mutha fucka...

Way to go! It seems like when I read these stories, the mental change can be even greater than the physical change. I'm very happy for you and you should be proud even though I know you feel like it took very little effort on your part.
One of the things I've always thought was cool about you is how helpful and supportive you are to the people on these boards. You are in inspiration to many so keep on posting, even though your partying like a rock star now!
