  Good Morning Everyone,

I am praying today is a good day in my home.   I am so tired of all that has gone on.   I am physically and mentally exhausted.    But I am claiming today to be a good one for me and my family.    If you are reading this post for the first time....this is a post to remind us all ( me included ) of all the things no matter how large or small they may be that we have to be grateful for.   Life never guaranteed us to be problem or worry free but no matter what is going on in our lives...we ALL have something to be grateful for.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for.   Today I am grateful....so VERY GRATEFUL for second chances.    Second chances of a better life for ourselves and our families.    A better life as a thinner....healthier person.   I am so grateful for my WLS.    As a MO person growing up it was my dream to be a "normal" size person and be able to wear cute clothes.    Now thanks to WLS that has been happening for almost 6 yrs.   Grateful for no problems since my WLS and for my family and friends who encourage and support me in my journey.   Grateful for my Faith and answered prayers.    Grateful for so many many things I could go on and on for hours but I won't.   I will stop there.    Thank you for reading this post and for the people *****spond.   I want you to know....sometimes I respond to the responses I get and sometimes I don't.   But I DO read everyone of the responses.   Now...go out and have a wonderful and blessed day !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~ Vivian

Thank you for your encourageing post. I just had my surgery and am feeling well but struggling with stress at home.  The Serenity Prayer is always what I need.  It is the acceptance part that is challenging for me at this moment.

Hang in there.    You will go through many different emotions being newly post op.    You will more and likely go through the "what have I done to myself" stage...then the mourning of foods ( thinking you can NEVER have certain foods again ).   You won't go through anything that all of us who have had WLS haven't gone through.   PLEASE come here in those down times for support and encouragement.     We are all here to help make your WL journey easier for you.   Congratulations on your sleeve.   You will do amazing !!!  Just do exactly as your doctor tells you and you will do great.    Thank you for responding today.
