Sooo...I pretty much a newbie and don't have much 'time' or mileage on my sleeve so I am going to take a stab here.  Perhaps you could look at what is going on in your life right now that may be causing you:  stress?...anxiety?  fear?  guilt?

I know what got me fat was eating because 1. my fat suit protected me...it was my excuse to not deal or live the way I wanted to.  To keep people away.  2. To deal with my emotions. A couple of Wendy's doubles later and I was feeling pretty satisfied, numb and certainly guilty.  Chase those burgers with a Frosty and the guilt slid away...at least while I ate it...and so on.

IDK my friend, satiety is feeling and perhaps what you need fufill yourself with is not food but soemething else.  Love? Attention?  Perhaps all this new energy you undoubedly have requires more exercise.  Are you Spiritual?  etc... This is your journey and you need to find a new FULL, and it can never be food.  Well..it could, but do you want it to be?

Big HUGS to you, I am struggling with this new idea everyday.  Heres to finding our new FULL.

I have found that therapy has been the best gift I could give myself.  My therapist actually had baraitric surgery 15 years ago.  She's been there and understands all the bull**** places my mind takes me.

If this doesn't pass, I'd look into seeing a professional.

I'm only 3 months out, so haven't hit some of the phases you're going through, though I'm sure I will.

It sounds like you're being physically satisfied with your food, but your mind and soul and whatever aren't satisfied. What this means (hearing my therapist's voice in my head as I type this) is that the food isn't satisfying something else in you other than your physical hunger.

Two possibilities: one, less common but it does happen, is that you have some sort of a deficiency. Per my therapist, sometimes they'll find someone craving xx or yy who has an iron deficiency or a calcium deficiency or so on. Have your labs been good and have you had them done recently?

If your labs are hunky-dory, then perhaps you're looking to food to satisfy you emotionally, and to use an expression I hear pretty often, 'round here: "that's what got us fat to begin with". I do this. And I'm working with a therapist on it, because it cannot stand if I'm going to have a shot at maintaining long term.

{{hugs to you}} I know you can work through this - get help if you need it.

It's hard to figure out if it's emotional or physical hunger until you rule out one factor or another.  I go for physical first since it's easier for me to figure out.  Nutritional deficiencies often make you feel hungry like that.

I recommend taking 500-1000 mg of l-glutamine 30 mins before every meal, and chromium twice a day to help with physical cravings.  Get your labs done and also make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin and extra vitamin B complex and iron.  If you do all this and are still feeling hungry it may well be emotional hunger.

You know what I have learned about this sleeve.???
You can train your sleeve to do anything you want.
If you want to eat an oz more, work on it.  but dont
go overboard.

about being satisfied...   remember eat to live and NOT live to eat.
We are changing our thinking about food.
we have to find other activities or things that replace what we
chased food for.  Hope you get through this soon.

You mention that this started 3 weeks ago... did some new phase in your life or relationship start 3-5 weeks ago that coinsides with this?

Well I figured out why I am suffering from the same problem...I LOVE FOOD! So maybe it is emotional but I am trying hard to train myself to eat to live and not live to eat. I may reward myself with 2 oz of ice cream after a good week, but thats all I need. I don't need a hald gallon nor could I eat that much now.

I think like another post stated, you have to realive your reasons for gaining so much weight and understand that until your mind is right, you'll never be satisfied. You will always want more or different. You have to just apprciate what you have, the amount you have and love your ever shrinking new body because of your efforts.

I feel your pain, but I'd rather be smaller that satisfied with a Big Mac in my belly....
